How Target Gave Clean Skin Club the Spotlight
What’s new: Target dedicated an endcap to direct-to-consumer towel brand Clean Skin Club after the brand’s September launch quickly sold out.
What we saw: An endcap in the beauty department used customer photos to demonstrate how the disposable towels can improve skin, with shelf signs positioning the product as a way to reduce oiliness and skin sensitivity. Travel-size 10-packs are sold for $5.99 while packages of 500 are $17.99.
Additional support: Clean Skin Club touted the endcap with an Instagram sweepstakes running Feb. 26 to March 4 that awarded a branded hoodie along with a package containing one of each of the brand’s SKUs.
More context: Clean Skin Club made its brick-and-mortar debut at Target in September, as it was stocked on a floorstand and sold out by October. Travel-size packs of the towels appeared in Target mini bins that month, while the endcap arrived in January.
The brand has been aggressively promoting its availability at Target across Instagram and TikTok. Clean Skin Club teamed up with OTC brand Love Wellness for an Instagram sweepstakes running Sept. 12-16 that awarded a $200 Target gift card plus eight boxes of towels and a line of Love Wellness SKUs. A sweeps running Sept. 17-20 awarded a $100 store card and five boxes of towels. Clean Skin Club also partnered with deodorant brand Megababe for a “Target Hygiene + Body Care Essentials Giveaway” on Instagram awarding travel products from both brands.
