H-E-B in Greater Austin Gets Makeover

The 65,000-square-foot store’s enhancements include upgraded departments, a larger product assortment and new art installments.

An H-E-B store in Round Rock, Texas, has finished renovations that began in May 2021.

The 65,000-square-foot store’s enhanced experience includes new interior paintings and store graphics as well as upgraded departments and a larger product assortment.

In addition to some of the store’s existing departments and services such as Floral, H-E-B Meal Simple, H-E-B Curbside pickup and H-E-B Pharmacy drive-thru, the upgraded store includes:

  • 10 additional checkout lanes.
  • A full-service seafood counter with fresh seafood seven day a week.
  • An expanded market department with a full-service counter.
  • A healthy living department with bulk food items, supplements and a nut grinding station.
  • An updated bakery department with a wider selection of artisan breads and varieties of desserts, pastries and cakes.
  • Sushiya with handmade sushi selections made in-store daily and Sushiya Grill offerings.
  • An expanded beer and wine section.
  • A larger beauty department of cosmetics and other beauty items.
  • A relocated frozen food department with an expanded assortment.
  • A new dairy department with expanded assortment.

The store, which remained open during the renovation process, is located at 3750 Gattis School Road, Round Rock, Texas.

H-E-B marked to store’s upgrade by donating $1,500 each to Gattis Elementary School, YMCA of Round Rock and Forest Creek Elementary School, for a total of $4,500.

H-E-B has been focusing on updating stores in recent years, including the introduction of unique store elements such as art installments from local artists and expanded departments, such as its nearly 4,000 square foot Beauty by H-E-B concept.
