Canadian Tire, Tim Hortons Partner on Loyalty Programs
Canadian Tire Corp. continues to expand its loyalty program, most recently through a partnership with the Tim Hortons restaurant chain.
Beginning in 2026, customers who link their Canadian Tire Triangle Rewards membership to their Tims Rewards account will be able to earn Canadian Tire Money on qualifying purchases made at the eatery, which has approximately 4,000 locations throughout Canada. Linking both accounts also will unlock exclusive offers.
Neither brand gave details on exactly what kind of offers customers will receive. The specifics on what qualifies as an eligible purchase and how much Canadian Tire Money can be earned per dollar spent will be revealed closer to launch, according to the retailer. Canadian Tire added that Triangle Mastercard holders who link to their Tim Hortons account will have "richer opportunities" to earn Canadian Tire Money when shopping at the restaurant chain.
"Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire are two of the country's most recognized and beloved brands and we're thrilled to join forces to bring even more value to Canadians," Darryl Jenkins, executive vice president and chief development officer, Canadian Tire Corp., said in a news release. "Our strategic partnerships are all about building our Triangle ecosystem to reward Canadians for their everyday activities — from shopping for essentials to now picking up their morning coffee."
Canadian Tire has been steadily adding Canadian brands to its Triangle Rewards ecosystem — which has nearly 12 million members — including Petro-Canada fuel centers, Royal Bank of Canada, and WestJet, airlines, with the latter set to launch in 2026.
