By 2030, retail media is expected to look fundamentally different than it does today. Immersive formats, AI-powered personalization and real-time engagement will shape how brands connect with shoppers across the path to purchase.

As capabilities expand, so do expectations around transparency and consumer trust.

That evolution will be front and center during a panel discussion at P2PI’s Retail Media Summit Canada, taking place Feb. 10 at the Toronto Congress Centre.

Titled “Beyond the Banner: Creative Innovation and Trust in Retail Media,” the session will explore how retail media is poised to transform over the next five years. Industry leaders will unpack how creative innovation and scalable data strategies will define the retail media leaders of tomorrow.

The discussion will feature perspectives from:

  • John Fanous, head of omnichannel retail, Google Canada.
  • Sam Wong, senior director of data, analytics and AI, Mark Anthony Group,
  • Lisa Johnston, vice president of content, Path to Purchase Institute (moderator).

The session adds to a growing RMS Canada agenda focused on agentic AI and the future of retail media, the new value equation for shoppers, the “Canadian edge” in retail media, omnichannel execution, measurement, monetization and the evolving shopper journey.
