Loblaw Adds Features to Its E-Commerce Platform
Loblaw Companies has introduced digital updates to its PC Express e-commerce platform, designed to streamline the shopping experience.
The parent company of Canadian banners including Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore and Zehrs has been adding new features to its platform, designed to give customers added control and convenience and its store teams added support.
New PC Express features include:
- Addressing out-of-stocks: Out-of-stocks are flagged so customers can review and approve substitutions through the app or online, expediting the order fulfillment process.
- Pay with gift cards: Customers can now use PC gift cards just as they would in-store.
Samples: Customers now can add free product samples to their orders.
Order history: If an order isn’t right, customers can revisit past purchases and quickly report issues.
Subscribe & Earn: Allows customers to schedule orders of regularly purchased items. The feature is linked to the PC Optimum loyalty plan, so customers can earn rewards for shopping.
New digital features have also been added to help managers and employees, including:
Digital Order Review: Personal shoppers can skip the print command and view all order details, including notes, status updates and special requests, on their iPhones or screens in-store. Besides reducing paper waste, the new feature keeps everything in one place.
Axonify upgrade: Loblaw has enhanced its learning and communication platform. Now, store teams can view messages and updates in one timeline tab. A new “tasks” tab lets them digitally manage their daily responsibilities.
Scheduling tool: Department leads can use the personal scheduling tool to coordinate team shifts with order volumes so stores will have the right number of workers to help during busy times.
Fraud prevention: AI-powered tools scan for suspicious orders, designed to protect both customers and stores.
