Chesapeake Display Creates Unique Units

Comments: The bright blue Aleve labels are mounted to the blue-tinted edgelit acrylic. Each wing is attached to a pivot hinge that keeps the sign from breaking off if it is bumped and returns it back to its correct position.

Comments: Due to the interactive nature of the display, as well as the young age of Pico's target market, the display had to protect the product and the 13-inch monitor. By rotationally molding three main components and employing Pico's bright colors, an inviting -- as well as durable -- environment was created.

Comments: The design requires that the display hold a set of headphones and a portable CD player in a secure, but accessible position for easy trial of the product. The head is vacuum formed in the center of heavy-gauge styrene. The display includes a wire retractor system in an extruded track.

Comments: Molded urethane foam is used to create the main 3-D structure, which is finished in a splatter spray that simulates stone. The shoe is held on the display by a fabricated metal bracket with the sole facing outward. The unit is shipped fully assembled.
