  • Chi-Chi's Back Bar Display

    Client: Lardis, McCurdy & Barcham
Producer: Promotional Industries; East Hartford, Conn.
Category: Fabricated Plastic Counter, Shelf or Table Unit
Comments: Designers were challenged to illuminate the display with low lighting (conducive to bar settings) yet achieve "edge play" of light within the display. The use of fluorescent lighting combined with many edges of fluorescent acrylic achieved the desired appearance. Clear acrylic panels added strength and protected the display details without compromising the desired look.

  • Stolichnaya Holiday Gift Display

    Client: Carillon Importers Ltd.
Producer: Design Display Group Inc.; Carlstadt, N.J.
    Category: Paperboard Pole Display
Comments: This pole display plays up the Russian heritage of the product The central panel of the bottle label is removed so consumers can view a revolving winter scene that depicts St. Basil's Cathedral. Litho-printed tag stock was used to create the two-sided scene, which is inside a 24-inch-tall PETG vacuum-formed bottle. The bow and message panel are litho printed directly on foil-clad tag stock.

  • Absolut Attraction Dimensional Bar Sign

    Client: House of Seagram
Producer: CWB Marketing Group; New York
    Category: Fabricated Plastic Sign
Display: Absolut Attraction Dimensional Bar Sign
Comments: Three polished-acrylic panels create the illusion of motion via a floating bottle and glass. A chromium-look printing process adds a sense of permanence.

  • Absolut Attraction Motion

    Client: House of Seagram
Producer: Beisler & Assoc.; New York
Category: Motion, Light or Sound Pole Display
Comments: The client wanted a display to follow in the tradition of a well-known Absolut advertising campaign. This was accomplished with a display featuring a vacuum-formed martini glass that appears to "bend" toward an oversized bottle of Absolut. A motor behind the display produces the motion.
