A stiff display-figure panel has an elongated backing strip attached along its edges to an intermediate portion of a die-cut figure to form a tube for receiving a staff upon which the figure is supported. An eyelet is attached to the top of the figure at the upper end of the backing strip for hanging the figure on a wall and to close the end of the tube.

Animation of an image is effected by providing transparent and opaque figures on sheets arranged one behind the other in spaced relation, as well as by modifying the spacing at intervals in the range of 0.1 to 10 seconds, preferably in the range of 0.5 to 10 seconds. This animation device is ideal for use as an animated picture, a publicity display means or advertisement panel.
