A shelving and/or display unit has a pair of spaced-upright members for supporting shelves, each having spaced front and rear legs with shelf supports extending between the legs of each upright. Each shelf support has an inwardly extending intermediate offset portion which is adapted to be engaged by a downward extending flange extending laterally on each side of the shelf.
