Seagram Americas combined stainless steel, acrylic and neon in a series of signs designed to remind bar customers to take notice of Absolut vodka.

To promote its Tanqueray gin, United Distilleries, Montreal, Quebec, chose an Animaction motion-sign. The signs are part of a national campaign to increase awareness of the product that also includes bus-shelter advertising, magazine advertising, Martini menu cards and coasters.
   "The Animaction motion-sign is an effective medium to convey the sophisticated mood and upscale image of Tanqueray gin," says Kathleen Leger, manager of merchandising and promotions for Tanqueray gin. "The sign comes to life, commands customer attention and maintains campaign continuity."

The House of Seagram, New York, is hoping consumers will think of Absolut Vodka products when they go shopping for the 1996 Holiday season. The company's Deluxe Motion Pole display features an "Absolut Gift" bottle wrapped and decorated with ribbon, leaving only the brand name and flavor visible to the consumer. The gift bottle is suspended within a 38-inch-wide, 96-inch-high and 12-inch-deep pole topper and appears to wrap and unwrap as it rotates. The four flavors -- regular, peppar, kurant and citron -- each have wrapping and ribbon matched to their corresponding colors.
