  • Encarta Floorstand

    Taurus Packaging and Display Corp.
    St. Martin's Press
Comments: This display for the new Encarta Dictionary features a sleek, metallic design to emphasize that this is a new dictionary. The back panel of the unit cleverly features the definition of "replenish" used in the dictionary, which appears when the unit is shopped down. This serves as a friendly reminder to store personnel to restock.

  • Backpack Book 20-Count Spinner

    Great Northern Display Group
    Pleasant Co.
Comments: The compact spinner display with a 6-inch by 6-inch footprint fit into a variety of locations. The "Get a Mini Backpack" promotion added an element of cuteness to the unit that helped it appeal to its young girl market. The unit cost of the display, generally 10% of the retail value of the books, was only 6%. The display (1,800 units) sold through immediately.
