  • Converse Grand Ma Ma

    Client: Converse Inc.
    Producer: Thomson-Leeds Co.; New York
    Category: Multiple Materials Wall Unit
Comments: This display uses three levels of graphics to tie in with a national TV ad campaign. Process printed, 3-D vacuum-formed plastic draws attention to the characters. A wire substructure helps support both the sign and the display shoe.

  • Colorado Kinney Display

    Client: Kinney Shoe Stores
    Producer: Medallion Associates; New York
    Category: Wood Sign
Comments: The challenge for designers was to present the Colorado private label in the newly repositioned Kinney Shoe Stores. Wood window frames were used to camouflage the pre-existing split slatwall units. The background is four-color process printed on 100-pound coated text. It is mounted to a 40-point substrate that is die cut to fit into three window frames. A screened plexiglass logo is positioned over the center window.

    Client: Footaction USA
Producer: MB Winston Corp.; Brooklyn, N.Y.
    Category: Thermoformed Plastic Floorstand
Comments: The display used an inverted flange in the vacuum-forming process. This gives a 360-degree look that in the past has only been possible with rotational casting and blow molding. Complete tooling and manufacturing took eight weeks.
