"One of the bigger moves in the green movement or sustainability push has been by brand marketers of laundry detergents changing over to concentrated liquids. This saves water, plastic materials (and the oil needed to produce them), space in both trucks and warehouses (helping to conserve fuel), and produces a smaller footprint on-shelf, in the home and in the recycling stream. To show this, the Tide and Gain mini-packages emerge from older, larger replicas. Both brands are from Procter & Gamble.
