Target Deal Days

Target will activate its holiday plans in early October this year with a couple new wrinkles for shoppers.

First, the mass merchant’s Deal Days sales event will return on Oct. 6-8 as it offers thousands of deals across categories, including toys, apparel, home decor, stocking stuffers and everyday essentials.

Additionally, Target will extend its holiday price match guarantee and run the promotion longer than it has in the past, from Oct. 6 through Dec. 24. The guarantee promises that Target will match the price of a qualifying item purchased at the retailer if an identical item is found for less on Target.com, at select online competitor websites, or in Target’s or a competitor’s local print ad.

“The holidays are a treasured time when our guests come together with family and friends to celebrate the joy of the season, and we’re here to make that as easy as possible for them to enjoy,” said Christina Hennington, executive vice president and chief growth officer at Target, in a new Bullseye View blog post. “That’s why we’re rolling out deals earlier than ever and ensuring our team is ready to help our guests shop when and how they want. Throughout the season, guests will discover new and differentiated items for gifting and gathering, including only-at-Target owned brands and must-have national brands, and they can expect great deals and everyday low prices at every turn for an unmatched holiday shopping experience.”

Target plans to hire up to 100,000 seasonal team members for it stores and supply chain facilities in an effort to ensure products are available when and where shoppers need them.

The retailer's holiday efforts also include an exclusive collaboration with FAO SchwarzBeginning in mid-October, FAO Schwarz toys will be available exclusively at Target stores, Target.com and FAO Schwarz stores. The assortment will include more than 120 toys ranging in price from $9.99 to $149.99, including a style runway fashion show playset, a makeup vanity mirror set and plush toys as well as 50 toys under $20.

Target is also offering a curated assortment of toys, more exclusive items and only-at-Target experiences with FAO Schwarz and the Disney store at Target, as well as through its shop-in-shops from AppleLevi’s and Ulta Beauty in stores or online.
