Comments: With only six weeks to produce 3,000 units, the production schedule didn't provide sufficient time to create new tooling. What normally would have been injection molded or roto-casted was hand fabricated. Sheet plastic was cut and heat formed in the dimensions of a ski tip.

Comments: These signs are manufactured from a variety of materials and processes, including vacuum forming, lithography, silkscreening and hot stamping. They have the look of injection molding at the cost of vacuum forming.

Comments: The 3-D photography provided the opportunity to bring excitement to replacement faces, and at the same time, make full use of an existing P-O-P element. Backlighting extends the depth of field and enhances the sharpness of the image, which is often lost in other 3-D processes.
