This three-page spread appeared in Dominick's and Genuardi's circulars-- noteworthy because customers at these two chains have been particularly reluctant to try Safeway Select.
The ad serves as a good example of how important Safeway Select is to the company's strategy. Whereas many other retailers define their private-labels wholly in terms of price/quality, Safeway Select receives a full narrative treatment.
