Allstar Marketing is using a four-sided corrugated display to drive impulse sales for its Babe Ruth replica signature baseball. The program ties in with Ruth's 100th birthday on Feb. 6.
The single-sided Bat Showcase holds 66 bats, including up to six in the gridded showcase area. A patent is pending on the "step down" frame, which makes the products easy for customers to handle.
The use of brass side panels and a brass riser create an upscale, permanent image. The shadow-box treatment draws attention to the graphics. The display takes up 1 square foot of space yet holds 96 products.
Fiberoptics, which appear brighter from a distance, were used in this display to draw customers to the appropriate store department. The use of laser drilling, silkscreening and extruded cabinets helped keep costs down.
This display was designed to work in 10 countries that utilize five different languages. The mechanized knife conveys basic product features. Custom signs on the base explain key points for local markets. A special UV inhibitor keeps the red plastic from fading.
This indoor/outdoor sign has completely updatable, interchangeable graphics. The vacuum-formed polyethylene numbers are completely self-contained. They can be changed by using the thumb-twist access screws -- tools aren't required.
