PepsiCo made Wal-Mart the exclusive retail partner for its Major League Baseball All-Star Game sponsorship again this spring.Pallet displays in Wal-Mart Action Alleys carry generic baseball graphics and side pockets with "Official Ballots" that let shoppers vote for the players who will start in the All-Star Game in Pittsburgh on July 11. Participants have until June 10 to submit their ballots at Wal-Mart stores (via the displays) or until June 26 to mail them into Major League Baseball.PepsiCo has sponsored retail balloting for the game since 1997, and ran a similar program with Wal-Mart in 2005. (Monster.com sponsored online balloting and Ameriquest in-stadium balloting this year.) In other years, Pepsi has worked with such other retailers as Kroger's Ralphs.In another current program, Pepsi used imagery from DreamWorks' recently released Over the Hedge on pallet displays to support Wal-Mart's tie-in to the film.
