Target is stocking new and exclusive licensed SKUs from Walt Disney Co.'s Frozen 2 ahead of the film's November 22 theatrical release as it continues to deepen its relationship with the entertainment giant. Ads throughout the retailer's website, a target.com promotional page and an Oct. 11 circular feature tout the recently unveiled products, including exclusives such as an "Anna and Elsa" doll set from Hasbro, a "Young Elsa" doll from Jakks Pacific, an "Elsa's Black Sea" dress and Da Bomb bath bombs. The items also get the spotlight in stores. At the 25 Target locations where the retailer is piloting a new Disney “store-within-a-store," Frozen 2 licensed SKUs are hard to miss, in some cases commanding the entire product selection. In other locations the items are spotlighted on dedicated gondolas. In both cases, white birch tree cutouts affixed to the displays set them apart from the rest of the store. Here's what we saw during our recent Target store visits in Maple Grove, MN, and Champaign, IL:Frozen 2 licensed merchandise commands all the attention at the Disney store-within-a-store at Targe's Maple Grove, MN, location. The Maple Grove store-within-a-store comprises various floorstands stocking licensed merchandise from multiple categories and leading brands including Hershey Co.'s Ice Breakers, Hallmark's Crayola, JD Beauty Group's Wet Brush and Unilever's Suave.Tables displays and racks positioned within the shop merchandise various licensed SKUs such as an extensive selection of toys. Mannequins employed within the shop spotlight licensed apparel. At Target stores without the Disney store-within-a-store, select licensed Frozen 2 SKUs are instead highlighted via eye-catching, upfront gondolas comprised of rolling racks. We spotted the one here at the Target in Champaign, IL
