Best Buy has revamped its Reward Zone loyalty program to give members more incentives and mobile experiences.Renamed “My Best Buy,” the program retains its basic rewards structure, awarding one point for every $1 spent and 5% back on purchases made with a store-brand credit card. But the prior two-tiered Core and Premier Silver membership structure has been expanded to three levels: Core, Elite and Elite Plus. Each level offers new perks, such as bonus reward points, early access to sales and promotions (including Black Friday deals) and extended return timeframes. Members qualify for the higher levels by spending more: $1,500 per year for Elite and $3,500 for Elite Plus; former Premier Silver members were automatically granted Elite Plus status. The new program also adds more mobile integration, letting members use Best Buy’s mobile application to access their accounts and earn bonus points for checking in at stores.A banner ad on Best Buy’s home page touts the new program, linking to a landing page that details the benefits and presents an informational video that also was posted on the retailer’s YouTube channel.
