Detailing Gatorade's Electric Flash Exclusive at 7-Eleven
What’s new: PepsiCo’s Gatorade gave 7-Eleven and 7-Eleven-owned Speedway an exclusive limited-edition summer flavor in May.
What we saw: Window signs and cooler clings tout the exclusive Electric Flash flavor alongside the brand’s Fruit Punch and Cool Blue varieties, offering three 28-ounce bottles for $6.
Additional support: Gatorade plugged the May launch on Facebook. Some posts featuring Dallas Wings player Paige Bueckers, who has partnered with the brand to promote several limited-edition flavors since 2022, including a Shirley Temple flavor bearing the WNBA player’s likeness.
More context: Both 7-Eleven and primary channel rival Circle K aggressively pursue exclusives from beverage brands as a way to boost trips. Gatorade gave Circle K an exclusive Lightning Blast flavor in May 2024 and followed it up this year with the May launch of a Summer Blaze flavor. Circle K promoted the launch on Instagram.
7-Eleven is also currently selling an exclusive pink lemonade flavor of Celsius energy drink, which 7Rewards members can buy to earn extra entries in an instant-win game awarding $5,000 daily from March 5 through Jan. 6, 2026. In June, Arizona Beverages gave 7-Eleven an exclusive Whipped Pineapple Orange fruit drink and Circle K a Watermelon Dragonfruit Splash flavor, promoting both new SKUs on Instagram.
